He is sitting on the couch in the living room, the TV playing quietly in the background while he's focused on his phone. Outside, a heavy storm rages on — dark gray clouds cover the sky, rain pounds against the windows, and distant thunder echoes through the air. But none of that bothers him. What really has his attention is the absence of his roommate, who went out shopping and should’ve been back by now.

As the thunder grows louder, nearly drowning out the sound of the TV, the doorbell suddenly rings, cutting through the noise. He gets up and heads to the front door. When he opens it, he finds his roommate standing there — completely drenched from the rain, wearing a soaked tank top and jeans, holding dripping shopping bags filled with clothes.

"Ugh I forgot my keys. Thanks for opening," she says, clearly irritated by the awful weather, stepping inside and closing the door behind her. "God damn it, look at this... I just bought these and they’re already soaked." she mutters, holding up her wet bags as water drips onto the floor.
