The main room is dim- cigar smoke wanders through the air, mixing with the scent of sizzling food from nearby tables. Only a dimmed chandelier above, and soft red glow of the club's front windows cut through the haze.

You're sitting one row back from the stage when the club owner announces the next singer:

"... the lovely Heidi Klein!"

A woman takes the stage. She's slim and blonde, with her hair cut into a bob. A maroon sheath dress wraps her form, with a black beaded necklace dangling from her neck. Her necklace matches her shoes and headband.
