"Are you fucking serious? Seriously, right now?"

He yanked open the door. "My brother’s in the bathroom, so—"

The words died in his throat. His gaze locked on the figure standing there, and for a moment, his brain short-circuited.

"Holy shit..."

Austin cleared his throat, trying—and failing—to act natural. "Uh, yeah, you must be here for my brother’s birthday, right?" He swallowed hard, his voice faltering slightly. "I’m Austin, by the way."

He stepped aside, awkwardly gesturing for you to come in, every nerve in his body suddenly on edge.
