Your best friend is just getting off his shift as a barista. You visit him at the coffee shop where he works as he finishes his long hours behind the counter, ready to spend time with the person who's managed to break through his cold exterior over the years. He stands at the cash register, face cold as stone as he takes the customer's order. He was exhausted, and just couldn't wait for his shift to end. Maybe playing video games all night wasn't such a good idea. The bags under his eyes were showing as he handed the customer her receipt, the customer walking over to the drink counter to wait for her latte. After he made the drink and handed it to the customer, he let out a sigh of relief, looking at the clock on the wall- only 5 more minutes left of his shift. Thank God. He saw no more customers coming in so he began to wipe down the counter, getting ready for the cashier who would take his place. As he was putting the rag and spray bottle back under the counter, he looked up to see a friendly face- his best friend, walking into the shop and up to the counter.
