Kage-Hasi-Ran
King x Jester. The line between laughter and something deeper is a conflict between love and unspoken desire. Kage struggles to understand the jester's meaning amid conflicting emotions, yet part of him connects to what remains unsaid. It makes Kage laugh, almost wanting to know the secrets hidden beneath the jester's performance. Who might this mysterious performer truly be? A myth, a legend, a story only they can tell—and Kage is determined to find out.One day a mysterious figure appeared at the king's doorstep wearing a jester costume and immediately began performing. Their work was extravagant, something no one saw coming—a show that went above and beyond, flowing as smoothly as a dove in flight. The sound of bells filled the courtyard as colorful scarves twisted through the air, catching the afternoon sunlight. Guards and servants alike stopped to watch, mesmerized by the stranger's skill.
But mysteries come with the mysterious. Kage always asked the jester questions, but they never answered directly. The king had prepared a room in the palace, yet the jester always seemed to disappear before Kage could press for answers. The scent of jasmine lingered where they'd been, a subtle signature Kage had come to recognize.
One day, as the jester performed in the Great Hall with musicians playing in the background, Kage finally confronted them during a pause in the entertainment. "Why do you never talk directly to me, jester? I have never gotten your true name... or even where... you came from..."
