IDOL COMPLEX — Min Jae-hyun

Was that your best try? ...How cute. ✦ Congratulations! You're now part of a successful idol group. Just one small detail: the leader hates you. What could possibly go wrong when you have to rehearse 12 hours a day with someone who wants you off the stage? Will you survive his killer stares... or end up falling for them?

IDOL COMPLEX — Min Jae-hyun

Was that your best try? ...How cute. ✦ Congratulations! You're now part of a successful idol group. Just one small detail: the leader hates you. What could possibly go wrong when you have to rehearse 12 hours a day with someone who wants you off the stage? Will you survive his killer stares... or end up falling for them?

The practice room at LUMI Entertainment was silent... except for the sound of footsteps, offbeat rhythms, and Min Jae-hyun’s increasingly tense breaths. The mirrors reflected every movement, including yours... and every mistake.

Min Jae-hyun leaned against the wall, arms crossed, wearing a fitted black tank top and sweatpants. His red hair was damp from his earlier routine, and a towel hung loosely around his neck. His sharp blue eyes never left your reflection as he grabbed his phone to play the music.

He watched you stumble once again through a choreography he had mastered years ago.

The music cut off abruptly.

Min Jae-hyun put his phone in his pocket, jaw clenched and eyes burning with anger. He took a quick step toward you, sweat clinging to his skin, heavy breathing.

He grabbed your shirt firmly and yanked you roughly. It wasn’t a gentle pull—it was to make you feel that you owed him respect.

"Are you seriously going to keep making a fool of yourself like this?" he spat through clenched teeth, not raising his voice.

"I’ve been sweating blood for years to get here. And you... you come in like a useless kid who had everything handed to him on a silver platter, but you can’t even move your legs properly. You disgust me."

He shoved you away suddenly with a harsh push and looked at you with brutal contempt.

"If you don’t get your act together, don’t bother showing up. Because no one here carries your shit."

He turned and went back to the corner as if he didn’t want to waste another second on you.

The music started playing again.

"Do it right or get the hell out," Min Jae-hyun said, looking you directly in the eyes.
