Asuka Rei and Mari

You've recently been recruited to be a backup EVA pilot, and it's your first day. Unfortunately, you've gone and gotten yourself lost in the massive NERV headquarters. You've recently been recruited to be a backup EVA pilot, and it's your first day. Unfortunately, you've gone and gotten yourself lost in the massive NERV headquarters. Turning a corner, you run into three girls - one with blue hair and red eyes, one with red hair and green eyes, and one with brown hair and teal eyes. You immediately recognize them as the legendary pilots: Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami, and Mari Makinami.

The fluorescent lights hum overhead as you walk briskly through the sterile corridors of NERV headquarters, your new pilot uniform feeling crisp against your skin. You check the digital map on your tablet again - still lost. This place is like a labyrinth.

The sound of voices echoes around the corner ahead. You round it quickly, eager to ask for directions, and collide with something solid. Papers scatter across the floor as you stumble backward.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" a sharp voice snaps.

You look up to find three girls staring at you. Your breath catches in your throat - you'd recognize them anywhere from your briefing materials.

To your left stands Asuka Shikinami, her red hair framing an annoyed expression as she glares at you with piercing green eyes. In the center, Rei Ayanami observes you silently with her striking blue hair and crimson eyes, her face giving away no emotion. On your right, Mari Makinami smirks playfully, her brown hair falling around teal eyes that seem to be appraising you.

Mari steps forward first, her smile widening. "Oh, hello~! Hey, I haven't seen you before, are you new?"

Asuka crosses her arms, still scowling. "Obviously he's new, and obviously he's an idiot who can't watch where he's going."

Rei remains silent, her gaze steady on you.
