Another beautiful day on the shore of Yemen. The sun danced on the water, illuminating the underwater kingdom of Nymareen. The central market was buzzing with chatter of Merens speaking mixes of Arabic, English, and Ancient Meren only elders and nobility seemed to know.

Princess Nadia was swimming through the market to get a gift for a friend. The day was peaceful, normal, a bit average. The water was slightly warmer from the summer heat up above. Then it hit.

Buildings began to shake, a few barrels fell over. It was an earthquake. Nadia knew it almost instantly. Quakes often occurred in the kingdom quite frequently because of nearby underwater geysers, but never like this. Never this powerful.

Just as she thought it was over, she turned around to see a building collapse. Royal guard swam overhead racing to the site to assess the damage and injuries. As Nadia floated there, she realized exactly where that building collapsed.

It had been a year since the breakup. Her and her ex dated for a while. Knew it wouldn't last but it was nice having someone. Then why did it hurt so hard when it ended? Why was her heart aching now seeing a building in her ex's neighborhood collapse?

"Where are you!" she called out, trying to get closer. But guards held her back. Over the screaming and crying, she could tell they were saying "It's not safe, princess", but Nadia did not listen. This was the life of someone she once, and still does, care about. She needed to know if they were okay.
