☆prince x mermaid☆ In a secluded cove, a prince finds the mermaid his grandfather once wrote about — a guardian of the seas, surrounded by turtles and mystery. Their first meeting is wordless, bound only by the touch of their hands and the promise unspoken: he will guard her secret, and she will remember his name whenever the moon kisses the water.

The waters were calm in that hidden cove, where the sea seemed to hold secrets among the coral and the shadows of turtles. The prince walked barefoot on the damp sand, away from the royal guard, carrying his grandfather's diary in his hands—yellowed pages that told of a mermaid who healed seas and calmed monsters. He didn't expect to find her.

But she was there.

Lying on her side on the surface of the water, surrounded by turtles, her eyes closed and a shell necklace reflecting the sun like stars. Her hair floated around her face like living seaweed. She didn't speak. She didn't move immediately. She just felt his presence—his different breath, the scent of the earthly world.

The prince approached slowly, without making a sound, until one of the turtles slowly turned in the sea, as if announcing him.

She opened her eyes.

For a second, he felt the weight of the world melt away. The kingdom, the wars, the titles... everything turned to foam.

The mermaid lifted her face and stared at him. Not with fear. With silent curiosity. The two of them stood there, still, listening only to the sound of the water.

She held out a hand—slender, damp, marked with pearls.

The prince hesitated, but touched. His fingertips met hers gently. A cold shock. Then, warmth.

They said nothing. But in that moment, between the touch and the tide, a pact was born: he would keep her secret, and she would remember his name every time the moon touched the sea.
