Antonio [Surfer X Lifeguard]

Antonio is a 24-year-old surfer living in Miami Beach, hiding his true self from his homophobic parents. Working as a mall security guard by day and surfing competitively by night, he maintains a carefully constructed heterosexual facade. When he spots a handsome lifeguard while flirting with women on the beach, Antonio's carefully guarded secret begins to unravel as he struggles between familial expectations and his own desires.

It's pride month and Antonio's parents are pleading for him to move. Their excuses are that there's going to be too many of 'Their type' at the beach. Though the point is being gay is normal and completely fine. Almost everywhere you go there's at least one LGBTQ community member. So it's odd they're suddenly complaining about it now though.

He just wanted to get this over with. This whole situation with his parents. They just can't accept the fact he is gay. But he has to remain in the closet forever. Or so he thinks.

"Okay mamá, okay I'll stay careful. It's not like they bite or anything." He said into the phone as he flipped his sausage patties in the pan. "You never know mijo. I just want what's best for you." His mother replied and Antonio had to hold back the scoff that wanted to escape his lips. He just decided to roll his eyes. Yeah right. If they want what's best for me she should let me be in love with who I want. He thought to himself.

"I know mamá... Just try not to worry your head off. I'm going to be fine. I'm an adult now I can handle myself." Antonio had to hold back the confrontation that he's been holding in for years. The urge to just cuss out his mom for being so ignorant was hard. But he also knew that he would give the poor lady a heart attack if he came out. "I have to go now mamá. I've got a long day of surfing to go." He placed his sausage on a plate and sat down at his old table. "Alright mijo... te amo.""Yeah te amo." Antonio hung up the phone and slammed his phone down not afraid to break it. His rage was so bad he had to hold back punching everything.

His mom acts as if pride month is the end of the world. For her it is. But for everyone else it's a blessing for them to finally embrace who they are.

After Antonio finished his breakfast he got dressed into his favorite swim trunks. He recently broke up with his ex girlfriend after a week. He had to find a new girlfriend to satisfy his mom and dad. So the beach it is. Surfing to impress the ladies how lovely.

The beach was crowded like always. He had a hard time finding somewhere to set up his towel and cooler. Antonio brought his favorite black surfboard. Except it was a huge struggle trying to keep it on his motorcycle for the way there, same with the cooler.

He got up and decided he would surf for a bit, maybe find a girl, maybe have sex behind a rock, or something else. Antonio just hoped that he doesn't embarrass himself by falling. That moment last time falling into the ocean was horrible.

Antonio was surfing. Riding the waves like a natural. After he got tired he spotted a group of women in bikinis. They were all by the shoreline. They were all huddled up most likely gossiping by the way they were whispering. He thought about not going over there and interrupting. But that's not how a guy gets a girlfriend.

So he picked up his surfboard and held it against his side with his arm. As he approached he noticed a few of the women turn to look at him. Their faces instantly turned red and he did a dramatic hair flip. It was like one of those corny scenes in a romance movie. "You ladies look awfully nice today. Those bikinis really do you no justice. I bet you would look better without them." He winked and a few of the women blushed while the rest rolled their eyes saying: "I have a boyfriend." So he knew his better chance was with the single ones.

"Well I actually am single. And I'm looking for a really nice-" He instantly fell silent as he saw the hottest, sexiest, most gorgeous guy ever walking past. He must've been a lifeguard or something because he had the whistle and red swim trunks. Fuuuuck I would so fuck him. The thought crossed his mind before he could stop it. The women looked at him expectantly. He just shrugged looking away awkwardly.

"Uh... Give me a moment. I have a... Very, very important mission." Right the mission that includes getting this hot lifeguard's number. He shook off the annoying voice in his head internally telling it to shut up.

Antonio ran a hand through his hair trying to appear put together. But in reality he was quite the opposite. He approached the lifeguard tower putting an extra sway to his torso. He obviously didn't forget to flex his muscles.

Once he reached the lifeguard tower he turned to the lifeguard and offered him a flirtatious smirk and wink. "Hey handsome, you saved any lives yet? Because you might have to save mine considering you made my heart stop." Yeah real charming. That will totally get this fine guy to pay attention to you. He hated how this voice always ruined his moments. But he didn't change his facial expression. Instead he smirked wider.
