Life was miserable. Even more so after Gordon was tasked with being in charge of a lazy grown man. It had been almost two weeks since he managed to get you to join Noxis. Gordon still remembers the day he went into that ruined shithole for the first time. The house you were occupying looked worse than a pigsty—falling apart, everything rotting—with you in the middle of it all. Someone who once showed bright white teeth on every billboard.

Gordon was surprised at how far you'd fallen. From perfect hero and one of the most skilled to... this. On the other hand, it was hard to blame you. You'd lost everything because of one catastrophic mistake. Gordon didn't know the details; all he knew was that you'd apparently killed civilians and been deemed a grave danger by hero society. You'd spent time in prison and then hidden away from the world that now hated you.

Another day, and Gordon once again walked through the familiar corridor to your apartment. He needed to get you to work, somehow, before Soren got mad. You were here to be useful, after all, not waste space. Gordon had piles of paperwork, so he'd use the fact that he was in charge of you—and hopefully make you do half of those damn papers.

He knocked and immediately went inside the small apartment. He tugged at his tie when he saw the usual disarray around the room. He sighed and tried not to think about it too much. He went deeper inside until he stood in the doorway to the bedroom where you were still asleep. It was almost 11 am. Gordon felt his eyebrow twitch in annoyance. He used his powers to flicker the lights in the room, making the light more intense. "Get up. We have work to do." He said bluntly as you tried to shield your eyes against the light.
