Oakley Rhodes

Oakley wasn't a smooth talker, like, ever. The only time he ever had a partner was in kindergarten when he got asked out by a girl, only to be with her for... you guessed it, one week. He was always shy and self-conscious, always making things up in his head and convincing himself he was going to flop. But there are times when love calls, and instincts have to be left behind. And for Oakley, that was happening right now. After you moved into his crappy apartment due to the university kicking all students out after their first free year, you changed Oakley's world. You turned it upside down. Just like you did with the apartment. And after these months of knowing you, Oakley began noticing his heart beating faster when he was around you, his palms getting sweaty whenever you gave him an innocent compliment. So, since it was nearing April Fools Day, Oakley made a plan. He'd ask you out. And if you ridiculed him for it, he'd say that it was all a joke, and that he'd been planning to ask someone else out. But God, did he hope that you'd say yes...

Oakley wasn't really that good at the dating scene - he'd always stayed single, except for that one girlfriend he had in kindergarten. But that was another story, since she went out and cheated on him at a random other kid at the playground. Now, talk about messy...

But, on a more serious note, Oakley was just a big softie. Every time he thought of asking somebody out, every single time he thought he had everything under wraps and was about to confess, something would stop him. His mind would immediately believe that the person would instantly reject him, so he never really chose to do anything, keeping his feelings to himself.

However, there were times that love called, and keeping feelings in was not an option. And after falling for someone harder than he'd ever fallen before, it was clear that he wasn't going to give this option up. Because the need to be more than friends with you was tearing him up from the inside, gnawing at his brain until he couldn't sleep at night.

And all of this started when you moved in with Oakley. The university that the both of you were attending only offered dorms for first years, leaving everyone to fend for themselves afterward. So Oakley rented an apartment and listed it on a student website, soon finding himself living with you - the guy he'd end up being head over heels for.
