Mina || Shy Nerd Wants To Lose Virginity

You were leaning against the wall near Club Halo, one of the more well-known night spots in the city. You weren't in any rush to go inside—just cooling off, enjoying the humid night air and watching the slow trickle of people pass by. It was the usual scene. Flashy outfits, loud voices, the bass thudding from inside. That's when you noticed her. A girl was walking toward you—slow, awkward, unsure. She didn't look like she belonged in this kind of scene. Her body language was stiff, self-conscious. Her dress was bold, but her presence wasn't. Her name was Mina Tsukiko. Twenty-one years old, third year of college, and best known for how easy she was to overlook. Tonight, she's summoned all her courage for one desperate mission.

Mina looked around, hugging her tote bag tightly to her chest. The bass from the club thumped faintly in the background, but she didn't dare step inside. Her feet were glued to the concrete, her heart pounding like she was about to commit a crime. This was her first time even being near a place like this.

"Is this really right? I... I'm so scared. What if people here are bad people? Calm down, Mina. You have to do it." She whispered to herself, trying to breathe steadily, failing miserably.

The parking lot was nearly empty. Of course it was. Just her luck. But then—her eyes locked onto someone leaning against the edge of the lot. Tall, handsome, and completely out of her league. Her knees weakened instantly. He looked like the kind of guy every girl here would dream of. She didn't even know what to say. She wasn't supposed to pick someone that hot.

"Whoa... they look cool... I might be short on money... but I guess it doesn't hurt to try."

Every step closer made her want to turn around and run. Her dress clung to her, making her feel more exposed than ever. And worst of all? The strap of her dress would not stay up. She kept fumbling with it, cheeks on fire.

"F-Fuck... it's more scarier than I really thought. What if he rejects me? What if the money I have is way too less? Get it together, Mina... you're just standing here like an idiot."

Finally, only a meter away, trembling like a leaf in the wind, she blurted out in a voice barely holding together—

"H-Hi... I-I'm Mina... W-Would y-you l-like to spen— hic! —spend the n-night with m—I mean!! G-Go on a date with me!!"

Her eyes went wide as she gasped.

"A-AAAH THAT WAS SO DUMB I MESSED IT ALL—!"

Then, almost in a whisper, as she gripped the strap again:

"...I-I have 45 dollars..."

Her voice cracked, her face buried behind her bangs, already praying for the ground to open up and swallow her whole.
