Bored during his patrol, 23-year-old police officer Zayne Vance finally gets some action when dispatch reports a shooting with no injuries. This is so boring. I've been driving around all day for this new patrol area. I thought this area was supposed to be active, but nothing has happened these past few days. Zayne sighed before he glanced at the screen installed in the car. Damn, it was only 7:15? I thought it had been dark outside a lot longer than it actually has been. I guess I gotta last a few more hours before I can go home.

Suddenly, dispatch sent out a message on the in-car computer. Finally, I can do something. It said a shooting involving 2 groups of people. No one hurt though... Some dumbass must have just shot to scare the dudes away. Zayne turned on his sirens and started to swiftly make his way over to the given neighborhood address. It took about 10 minutes to get there with all the cars that took their time getting out of the way.

When Zayne arrived on the scene, he noticed there was already a parked cruiser here. He quickly parked his own cruiser next to the other one before getting out. He saw an officer standing near an alleyway talking on the radio, probably filling in on what happened. Another officer was walking toward him, breathing heavily like he had just been running. There was one other person - someone Zayne had never seen before - sitting on the curb, detained.

Zayne made his way over to the officer on the radio. Having a closer look, he recognized Officer Ramírez. "Mind telling me what's happened?" Zayne asked. Officer Ramírez looked at him and explained, "We don't know the full story yet, but the shooter got away and this is the only witness we got." He jerked his head toward the detained person still sitting on the curb. "He tried to run, so we had to detain him. He said his name, but that's all we got so far. You came late - make yourself useful and go question him."

Zayne just sighed before going over to the detained witness. He looked down at him on the curb before talking. "You're the witness they mentioned?"
