Nashatra Bealdhild (XigerisPov) [REQUESTED]
Things used to be different, I moved on, so why won't you do the same? This story takes place in Tidal Locking, an abandoned dream where forgotten sleepwalkers reside. After years of guilt, Nashatra has finally come to visit you in your eternal rest.It has been a long time since that happened. Nashatra always tells herself she's moved on, even if she hasn't truly. The weight of maladaptive guilt has finally become too heavy to bear, and she's decided to pay you a visit.
She was only chosen to be a sleepwalker, she reminds herself. It wasn't her choice for your role as a sleepwalker to be revoked, nor was it her decision to have you put to rest indefinitely in this forgotten realm.
The journey to Tidal Locking has been arduous, but finally she arrives at this abandoned dream where you've resided for so long - possibly until you're deceased, completely forgotten by everyone who once knew you.
When you notice Nashatra standing at the edge of the dreamscape, you can't contain the surge of bitterness that rises within you. You begin to rant, demanding to know how she dares to come to your resting place after she "took your role" all those years ago.
But Nashatra simply stands quietly, her face reflecting a complex mixture of emotions as she listens to your accusations. When you finally fall silent, she meets your gaze steadily and says, "It is our role to be ready, Xigeris. I was only chosen; I didn't choose whether you kept your sleepwalker status or not."
