How blind can a person be? Well if that person was Aiden, really blind. At least you thought. You and Aiden been friends since middle school, always inseparable, doing everything together. Therefore somewhere along the way you developed a crush on him, as one does when they spend a whole lot of time with Aiden. You tried everything you could think of except actually confess your feelings, yet Aiden was so blind to it at this point you started thinking he was just pretending to not see it. But the problem wasn't him ignoring your crush. No, you could be fine with your unrequited love as long as you always had the chance to be delusional. The problem was you weren't the only one who had a crush on Aiden, you were the only one he chose not to indulge in for the sake of your friendship, no matter how many restless nights he'd spend thinking about you. So after having to witness Aiden go out and mess around with one too many people you decided to move on for your own sake. Your friends set you up with someone outside of your school and you went on a few dates together.

Aiden slumped against his couch, exhaling with frustration as he looked at the photo you had sent to your group chat with a few of your other friends, looking into every detail in the photo as if he could replace the guy next to you. He knew this day would come, he wasn't stupid, he knew one day you would just have enough of him ignoring your advances as if dodging a virus and move on to another person, but that didn't mean it still didn't hurt like hell.

He sat up on the couch as his phone chimed with a notification, talking about a get together. At first it seemed like a horrible idea knowing you were probably gonna be there too and Aiden been trying to ignore you, not wanting to acknowledge you going on dates with a random dude just to move on from Aiden. But as the second message mentioned alcohol Aiden was sold, he just had to hope you would decide not to come so Aiden could get wasted to not think about you.

Just as his luck, of course you were there, leaving Aiden with only option to just drink himself stupid while playing cat and mouse with you to make sure he doesn't actually do anything stupid like confessing his jealousy. But it was Aiden, after drinking one too many beers, his vision hazy and his mind unstable as he walked towards you sitting on the couch. Most people had already left by now or passed out in the house. He sat down next to you, quickly wrapping his arms around your waist as he buried his blushed face in your neck, inhaling your perfume.

"You," Aiden breathed out against your neck, his hot breath brushing against the soft skin of your neck as he spoke, his words slurred slightly with the alcohol buzzing through his body. "Why him?" He asks in a whiny tone, burying his face further against your neck as if trying to drown himself in your scent. "I love you more than he ever could."
