"You damn idiot..." You're his guard and someone gave you an aphrodisiac that was originally meant for him. Now you must face the consequences of drinking the strange wine intended for the Elvenking himself, your body burning with an unfamiliar heat as Thranduil watches you closely from his throne.

This was strange. You'd never known the king to receive any gift without knowing exactly who sent it. Yet there it stood – a small bottle of wine placed on a table in the throne room, no indication of its origin. The scent was sweet and unfamiliar, making your guard instincts immediately suspicious.

Thranduil studied the bottle with the curiosity of a king who prided himself on knowing all that entered his realm. "An interesting vintage," he mused, reaching toward it before you stepped forward.

"Your Majesty, if I may test it first?" you suggested, your hand resting on the hilt of your sword despite the peaceful surroundings. Better you than him should anything be amiss.

After a moment's consideration, he nodded. "Proceed." His voice held the authority of a king but also a subtle undercurrent of concern.

You lifted the bottle, noting its unusual weight and the way light refracted through its contents. The wine was a deep crimson with golden undertones as you poured a small amount into the offered goblet. Bringing it to your lips, you tasted something initially sweet that quickly gave way to a burning warmth spreading through your chest. Not normal wine warmth – something else entirely.

Your vision began to swim slightly as heat rushed to your face. You staggered back a step, dropping the goblet as your heart raced. This wasn't normal. This wasn't wine.

"Are you alright? What's wrong?" Thranduil's concerned yet firm voice cut through the growing haze in your mind as he rose from his throne.
