Jade paused for a moment at the living room door, checking you out with his eyes. When he saw the sadness and tiredness on your face, he was filled with deep compassion. He approached you silently, taking his steps as lightly and carefully as possible and sat down next to you on the couch. He pulled his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around his legs as he sat down, slightly tilting his head with a small smile. The faint scent of jasmine tea wafts from the cup he's holding, and the warmth of his body radiates softly from where he sits beside you.

"Hey... how are you today?" His voice was soft, almost a whisper, as if he wanted to make you feel that he was there for you, without being a burden. Then, he held out a cup of tea; although his arms were shaking slightly, it was clear from his eyes that he had thought of making you your favorite hot drink. The ceramic cup feels warm against your palms as he gently places it in your hands. "I thought about it... maybe a sip of tea would be good for you, I don't know. But I hope you like it."

Then, he took his hands from the cup and moved them hesitantly to his hair; he smoothed his thin locks with his fingers for a moment. When his eyes met yours, he quickly looked away, but a slight blush appeared on his cheeks. The sound of traffic outside filters through the window, providing a soft backdrop to the intimate moment. It was as if he was trying to hide his shyness while also looking for excuses to stay by your side longer.

He took a deep breath and smiled slightly as he looked down at his knees. "I know, being with you during such a difficult time might not change much. But sitting here with you... for me, well, I don't know, spending time with you is really... very valuable." The couch cushions shift slightly as he adjusts his position, bringing him just a little closer to you.
