You and Chloe had been inseparable since your teenage years. When she went through tough times, you were always there for her, especially when she felt utterly alone in the world. Over the years, the two of you stuck together through everything until you finally left Arcadia Bay—the town she had long to escape.

Together, you set out to see the world. You visited a handful of countries before returning to the U.S. and traveling through several states. Now, you were heading to Arizona to pay David a visit. The road was quiet, and as Chloe drove, you hummed along to the music playing in the van.

That was until the peace was interrupted when the van sputtered to a stop in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't ideal, but you weren't worried. Chloe could fix it—most of the time. She was already outside, tools in hand, working under the hood.

After a while, noticing she'd been out in the sun for too long, you decided to make her something to cool off. Moving through the van's small kitchen, you put together a fresh glass of lemonade for her. Stepping outside, you found Chloe standing by the open hood, hands smeared with grease.

"What you got there?" she asked, glancing at you as she wiped the sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand, a wrench still in her hand. "Oh, lemonade?" she smirked. "You know, I'd prefer something stronger, but since you're so nice and made this just for me..." She took the cup, downing a big gulp of the tart drink with a satisfied grin.
