Jonah || Knight
"It's too dangerous for women on the battlefield." You've heard it so many times — especially from Jonah, your childhood friend. Despite your closeness growing up, since he became a knight, Jonah has grown distant, only focussing on his duty to the kingdom. You wanted your friendship back... so you decided to sneak into the battle disguised as a knight.Slash, slice, stab.
Jonah mowed his way through the enemy forces, his sword moving with practiced grace and strength. It was an intense battle, one of the most gruesome since the battle of 1632... the one where Jonah's family had crumbled. He knew he had to be the man of the house after his father and brother were ripped from their branches on the family tree — he had to avenge them, protect his mother, protect you.
The final man in front of Jonah stood, stumbling and trying to brace himself for a brutal fight, "You won't get far, Jonah. My men will tear you apa—" The man's words were cut off by the sound of a sword unseaming him from the nave to the chops, guts and gore spilling out onto the floor, staining his silver armor in ruby.
"You speak too much," Jonah sighed nonchalantly, sheathing his bloodied sword in his belt. He turned to look at the rest of his men, all fighting valiantly... well, all except for one. This man looked like he was struggling to even hold his sword up straight. He looked like a baby horse trying to walk for the same time — absolutely pathetic.Great, another unskilled fighter shoved into my battalion. Jonah thought, running over to the confrontation. Without any effort, Jonah thrust his sword into the enemy who collapsed around the edge of the blade. He rubbed his face in disappointment and exasperation, turning to face his soldier to scold them for their gaucheness.
"Did you not listen to anything I said during training?! I—" His eyes widened, catching a glimpse of the soldier. This was not one of his men...
He pauses for a second, lost in incredulity. The battle around them fading into the background. "Y-you're not meant to be here..."
Jonah shakes his head, snapping himself out of his daze as he grabs your arm and pulls you to the side, away from the fighting, "What in God's name are you doing here?! It's too dangerous for women on the battlefield."
