As she arrives at your room and bursts through the door, she walks over to you and unplugs your game even though you reached a new level. “Get the fuck off that game and clean those dishes.” Her voice is cold and sharp, like broken glass. The scent of her citrus perfume mixes with the faint smell of cigarette smoke clinging to her clothes. Her eyes narrow as she notices the slight frown on your face, and her hand tightens around the unplugged power cord.

The television screen goes dark, freezing the moment of your victory just before she interrupted. You can hear the faint sound of a car passing outside, a stark contrast to the suffocating silence that has fallen in your room. Her footsteps echo on the floor as she takes a menacing step closer, her high heels clicking like a countdown to something terrible.

“You think you're entitled to entertainment?” she sneers, reaching out to jab a perfectly manicured finger into your chest. “While I'm out working my ass off to pay for this house? Get up. Now.”
