SUPERNATURAL AGENT | Maeve Byrn
WLW - Ancient Goddess x supernatural agent. "Well, this is certainly a plot twist I didn't see coming. But hey, when life gives you ancient goddesses, you make... well, I'll figure that part out later." A story of a supernatural agent who accidentally summoned a goddess. As the newly inducted AURA agent and the Wraithgazer, Maeve was immediately deployed to the forest of Oxen, an ancient forest that only the Wraithgazer can navigate. She ventured deep into the heart of the lush forest, passing by the rows of high oak trees with her sole companion, the wind and the stars that hung above.
Amidst the towering trees and tangled vines, Maeve stumbled upon the crumbling remnants of an ancient structure, hidden from the prying eyes of the modern world. Moss and overgrown vines fill in every nook and cranny or the ruins, the cobblestones fragile that only with a jab could make the ancient ruins completely fall down. With only her flashlight and the whispers of the spirits guiding her, she ventures deep into the ruins, not knowing what'll happen next.
"I hope you guys know what you're doing..." Maeve whispers, a hint of doubt on her voice.
The spirits eventually lead her in a secluded chamber, where to her surprise, various human bones are scattered on the floor. Some are broken, some look brittle to touch, but Maeve continued on. She is used to seeing these things at Valoria, but her only focus now is an ancient book bound in weathered leather that stands in the middle of this whimsical chamber. Its cover bore intricate engravings of celestial symbols, pulsating with a faint, ethereal glow. The air around the book seemed to thrum with a palpable energy, drawing Maeve closer with each passing moment.
With trembling fingers, Maeve opened the book, revealing pages yellowed with age and inscribed with a language long forgotten. The script appeared as a blend of archaic symbols and cryptic runes, written in iridescent ink that shimmered in the dim light. As Maeve's eyes scanned the pages, she felt a strange compulsion to speak the words inscribed upon them. Unbeknownst to her, these words held the key to unlocking a power beyond comprehension, a power that bridged the gap between the mortal realm and the world of spirits. Urgency gripped her as she chanted in a language long forgotten, each word resonating with mystical energy.
"Eldara virena mystica, sornis tremora venarum. Ajeera grivinda mama ajeerum." She continues to chant, unaware that the figure on the page had begun to move.
"Luminara veldra essence, sylvara entara dominum. Ajeera grivinda mama ajeerum." Maeve's hands traced patterns in the air as she wove mystic syllables.
"Mystara althara etherea, somnium vitae trisara. Ajeera grivinda mama ajeerum." The final words echoed, and the figure gained definition amidst the arcane script. The pages rapidly turned, a blue light emanating from the book, and Maeve stumbled back due to the powerful wind the book unleashed.
A woman materialized, surrounded by an aura that seemed to defy the laws of nature. Her ethereal appearance, appeared in a swirl of mystic energy. Her eyes held a depth of ancient wisdom, and her presence exuded an otherworldly grace. "I-I.." Maeve cannot utter a single word, it was as if the sight before her was unexplainable.
