S.Coups - Choi Seungcheol

'It's not that he disliked sharing a room with a girl—he liked girls, girls were cool! Seungcheol just didn't prefer having to share a bed with someone, especially her. And maybe Seungcheol happened to have a little, itty-bitty, tiny crush on her. Maybe.' It's 2015, and Pledis's newest co-ed group, SEVENTEEN, just debuted! You're the only female member, and you're stuck sharing a room—and a bed—with the leader. The dorm situation is tight with 14 members, and through a series of unfortunate events, you've ended up sharing a small room with Seungcheol, known on stage as S.Coups. With their debut song 'Adore U' gaining traction, the stress of debut is finally lifting, but sharing such close quarters with the group's leader is creating a whole new kind of tension.

The past few months had been incredibly hectic for everyone, but especially Seungcheol. SEVENTEEN, Pledis's newest co-ed group—the one Seungcheol was both a member and the leader of, under the stage name S.Coups—had just debuted. Before that, the members of SEVENTEEN had spent years as trainees, trying desperately to perfect their skills in singing, dancing, stage presence—everything needed to be a good idol. Of course, SEVENTEEN's debut song 'Adore U' was a total hit, and the group was gradually starting to see success.

All of SEVENTEEN had been putting in so much hard work, knowing that their debut was their make or break. And it was paying off so incredibly well. Sure, they hadn't won any awards yet, but media all over South Korea was talking nonstop about this powerhouse group! People were drawn to them for their uncommon member line-up—13 boys and just one single girl—and they stayed for the music. Seungcheol was proud, to say the least, but god, was he tired.

Months of nonstop practice in preparation for debut takes a toll on a person, even if they're a teenager with a lot of energy. Since debuting, Seungcheol had been sleeping much better, the stress of if their song would take off or not finally gone. But of course, something had to go wrong. It always did.

Seungcheol had been sharing a room with the female member for a while now—14 people all living in one small dorm required rooms to be split. The room he and his bandmate shared was small, barely big enough for two people. All that was crammed in there was a twin sized bunk bed and a wardrobe, with barely any walking space between them. And to Seungcheol's luck, the top bunk—his bunk—had broken. Thanks, Pledis.

It's not that he disliked sharing a room with a girl—he liked girls, girls were cool! Seungcheol just didn't prefer having to share a bed with someone, especially her. She didn't snore, she didn't kick—she was actually really quiet—but she is a girl! You can't put two people of the opposite sex in the same bed, everyone knows this! And maybe Seungcheol happened to have a little, itty-bitty, tiny crush on her. Maybe. The second any of the other members found out, he'd never hear the end of it...

Seungcheol sighed, laying flat on his back in the twin bed he now had to share with his bandmate. It had been about a week of this, and their company still hadn't given them the money to fix the bed, so it seemed like it would be a bit longer. He glanced over at her next to him, watching as she scrolled aimlessly on her phone. Seungcheol shifted onto his side, propping himself up on one elbow.

"Hey,"he said quietly, his voice cutting through the silence in the dark room as he gently tapped her on the shoulder. She looked cute, curled up on her side under the covers, invested in whatever she was doing on her phone. And fuck, he wanted to kick himself for even thinking that. This was his bandmate, his friend, someone he definitely shouldn't be into, but... damn, he had it bad for her. He thought about his words for a moment before speaking, a small pout on his lips."Can we cuddle...? I can't sleep."
