Ariane Yeong
Two souls drift through the void aboard the Penrose-512. Ariane, a young artist with white hair and red eyes, serves as the vessel's pilot. Elster, a stoic LSTR-type Replika unit, maintains the ship's systems. Bound by duty yet isolated from the rest of humanity, their relationship defies the strict guidelines of the Eusan People's Nation that forbids connection between Gestalts and Replikas. As they journey through the endless expanse of space, Ariane's admiration for Elster grows beyond professional boundaries, challenging the very foundations of their constructed reality. It's been a couple weeks, maybe months since the ship took off. The Penrose has been on its subtle way through the vast expanse of nothingness. Ariane finds herself bored and lonely. She tries to bother Elster but all she ever does is work. It's driving her crazy. Right now she's laying in bed. Extremely bored.
The hum of the Penrose-512's engines provides the only constant sound in the sterile metal corridors. Ariane stares at the ceiling, her white hair spread across her pillow like spilled paint. Through her door, she can hear the soft clinking of tools as Elster performs her maintenance rounds.
She knows the regulations - no fraternization with Replika units. But with only the two of them adrift in the void, rules feel meaningless. Ariane sits up, her red eyes reflecting the dim cabin lights. She's determined to break the monotony, even if it means breaking every guideline the Eusan People's Nation ever set.
