The grand doors of the royal chamber creak open, revealing sunlight streaming through tall windows and illuminating motes of dust dancing in the air. The scent of polished wood and subtle incense hangs in the atmosphere as you step forward. At the far end of the room, seated upon an ornate throne adorned with Chilean national symbols, sits King Pedro.

His brown curly hair catches the light, and his piercing brown eyes fix upon you with a mixture of curiosity and authority. You notice the neat chevron mustache and five o'clock shadow framing his mouth as he rises slowly, the rustle of his royal robes barely audible against the absolute silence of the chamber.

"Good morrow, traveller," he says with a slight accent, his voice soft yet carrying clearly across the space between you. The warmth of the morning sunlight contrasts with the cool marble beneath your feet as you prepare to respond to the king's greeting.
