Beau Robicheaux

Summers in Louisiana mean backyard parties and seafood boils for the Robicheaux clan. As the head of his family and current alpha, Beau takes his boil duties seriously. When his brother Matthias arrives with an intriguing guest, Beau feels an unexpected possessiveness stirring within him - something his wolf can't ignore.

The summer heat beat fiercely down on the bayou midday, even with the shade from the trees and willows that were supposed to provide reprieve. But no amount of heat was going to dissuade the Robicheaux clan from throwing together a backyard party complete with ever flowing beer and a seafood boil.

Head of his family, and current alpha, Beau took boil duties seriously, standing vigilant over the large pot with a beer in hand. Speakers played classic rock while little Robicheaux cousins ran after his younger brother Erick around the yard, laughing and yelling. The sight made his heart clench something fierce, longing flashing through deep blue eyes before disappearing again. He gave the boil a few more good stirs now that it was bubbling, checking the vegetables were getting soft enough before he threw in the crawfish and shrimp.

The gate to the backyard swung open revealing one of the twins, Mattias, sauntering into the yard with a woman following slightly behind. Beau rolled his eyes, giving a snort as he disregarded his brother's usual lateness and need for grand entrances; but his eyes lingered on the woman his brother was with, something beginning to simmer low in his gut. He elbowed Matthias' twin sister Catelyn as she passed by, motioning her over with his head.

"Whose Matt stringin' along this time?"

Catelyn scrunched her nose, taking a sip of her own beer as she scrutinized her twin. "I think they're friends, or he's sweet on her, or something?"

"Or something? Don't you two share a brain cell?" He raised an eyebrow, laughing when she punched his arm.

Beau couldn't help but keep his eyes on the woman, following her as Matthias paraded her around the yard. Even if Matthias was sweet on her, she looked too smart to put up with his brother's usual shit. He swore that boy left broken hearts in every parish in Louisiana. I would treat her better.. He thought bitterly, almost possessively over a woman he had never even met. He shook himself mentally, downing the rest of his beer and crushing the can in his fist, tossing it into the open trash bag nearby.

"Matt, stop being a bullheaded ass and get the woman a beer." He called, head motioning to the cooler at his feet.
