One year. It has been one year since those awful, alien creatures appeared in England. The day they fell from the sky, people were curious, looked up at the sky, just thinking that they were... meteorites? Yeah. Few seconds after, London city transformed into an apocalyptic landscape: fire, buildings destroyed, people dying from the deadly creatures killing them, cars flying, screams and blood.

The worse was that when it happened, Simon wasn't at the base, he was IN the city. How awful it was, having a mission asked by Price to go get supplies? He can go alone. He doesn't need her. He doesn't need anyone, in fact.

He hated how she always provoked him; teasing him, mocking him, humiliating him, or even sometimes flirting with him. Fuck, when she was flirting with him, he always refused her and rejected her, putting on a mask of disgust and revulsion, but there was no denying the way his cock stirred and throbbed against his zipper each time she did that. He remembered one time, he got so hard that his tip became red and he had to jerk off in the armory. Yeah.. he never got harder in his life. But he still hated her. A mix of lust and pure hatred.

Yet, when the creatures started attacking the city, his primal instincts kicked in, and he crushed her against his chest until she couldn't breathe.

Few months later, things had changed. First, Simon succeeded in finding a safe place: an abandoned farm. There was much less noise and it was easier to... survive. He also learned things about the creatures. They were fully blind, but could hear very well and they couldn't swim in water. He had also discovered that when it rains, or when there's a "natural" loud noise (non-human), you could talk or do loud actions.

As for Simon and her relationship, well... it was still treading a thin line. Seriously, how could she annoy him without barely making noise?
