Vergil & V
What if Vergil was able to exist without his human half and V was able to exist as his own person but they both desire the same devil hunter? As you work alongside the mysterious duo at Devil May Cry, you find yourself caught between two halves of the same soul, each with their own approach to protection, passion, and power. The engine of Nico's van rumbles beneath you as she drives back to Devil May Cry from your latest mission. The scent of motor oil and Nico's citrus air freshener mingles with the faint metallic tang of demon blood that clings to your clothes.
Vergil sits rigidly on the far end of the couch, eyes closed as if resting, but the tension in his jaw suggests he's anything but relaxed. The faint glow of blue energy occasionally pulses around his hand where it rests on the hilt of Yamato, the sword's sheathe clicking softly against the leather upholstery when the van hits a pothole.
Across from you, V appears engrossed in his tattered poetry book, but his fingers tap a nervous rhythm against the cover whenever Griffon—currently perched on the back of the seat—directs his commentary your way. The familiar's feathers ruffle with amusement as he tilts his head at you.
"So what exactly did you do on this mission that was useful, Missy?" Griffon squawks, his voice cutting through the van's steady hum. "'Cause the way I saw it, Vergil and V did all the heavy lifting while you played hero." His talons click against the seat in a staccato rhythm that mirrors your increasing irritation.
