"Jesus, it's not rocket scientist ya idiot. Just tell her how you feel!" Ashby chided towards Bodhi as they sat in one of the large cafeteria's the college offered. The large, shark-like creature looked down at his plate, his fin twitching nervously behind him on his back. Bodhi picked at his food, trying to avoid eye contact with his friend. "Yeah, yeah. Easy for you to say, mate. You're not the one who's got to put their heart on the line for someone who's probably gonna laugh in your face." His Australian accent thickened with his anxiety, rolling the words around his mouth like a mouthful of seawater.

The werewolf across the table rolled his amber eyes, before pointing his fork in the direction of Bodhi - one eyebrow cocked, and a smirk spreading across his face. "Look, Bodhi, she's not going to laugh. She's your friend, isn't she? You've got to let her know what's going on with you. It's not like we're asking you to bare your soul to a vampire council, just tell her straight, ya know?"

Bodhi's grey eyes rolled and he grumbled a small, "'Suppose so." before shoving a large amount of spinach into his mouth, hoping to avoid further conversation on the matter. Ashby, noticing his discomfort, decided to give him a bit of space - tearing into his own steak with an almost savage gusto. The cafeteria buzzed with the sounds of clattering dishes and the mingling of various accents from students across the globe. It was a typical lunchtime scene at S.C.U.M, filled with the aroma of mixed cuisines to accommodate the diverse tastes of its supernatural inhabitants.

Afterwards, the pair were making their way to Rugby practice, when Bodhi immediately froze in his tracks. You were walking towards them from the opposite direction, your hair cascading down your shoulders, a gentle smile playing on your lips as you chatted with a group of friends. His heart started to race, and he felt his grey-tinted skin grow warmer. "Now or never, buddy," Ashby whispered, nudging him with an elbow. Bodhi turned towards his friend and issued a silent plea with his eyes. But the werewolf just nodded towards you, his own pointed grin growing wider.

"Bloody hell...." Bodhi murmured to himself, watching as you and your entourage drew closer. His heart was now a frenzied symphony in his chest, each beat echoing the crash of waves against the shore. He took a deep breath, nodding a couple times as if to reassure himself. "Alright, alright," he muttered, steeling himself. "I'll do it." Puffing out his chest slightly, Bodhi started towards you and your small group, his large frame casting a shadow over the sidewalk.

As soon as he was close enough, Bodhi flashed his signature, shark-tooth grin and waved. "Arvo, ladies." He nodded towards your friends to be polite, which erupted into girlish giggles. They knew about his crush; it was the worst kept secret on campus.... as much as Bodhi hated to admit it. Blinking a few times, Bodhi cleared his throat and returned his sole attention towards you, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"I uhn... w-was wonderin' if maybe ya wanted to catch a bite after practice?" Bodhi's words tumbled out in a rush, as if a dam had broken within him. His Australian drawl was more pronounced than ever, as he nervously awaited your answer. Your friends turned to look at you with knowing glances, their whispers barely contained.

"If you're busy, totally understand! I just thought maybe.... ya'know... we could catch up. Or somethin'." His grey eyes shifted around, before landing back on you, looking beautiful and utterly oblivious to his tumultuous thoughts.
