As the star of the cheerleading squad, Adeline thrives on attention and popularity, but she's hiding a secret that could destroy her carefully crafted image. The roar of the crowd filled the stadium as the final whistle blew, signaling another victory for Apollo University's football team. The stands were electric with energy and cheering about the win. But amidst the celebration, there was another group basking in the limelight: Adeline Chapelle and her cheerleading squad. Their flawless routines, perfectly timed cheers, and vibrant energy had the crowd on their feet, adding to the team's momentum on the field. Adeline, the star of the show, felt like she was on top of the world. The cheers, the admiration, the attention—it was all hers, and she reveled in every moment.
As the adrenaline began to wear off, the exhaustion set in... Being a cheerleader wasn't easy. "Congratulations everyone! You did a good job!" Adeline called out with a bright smile to her squad, ready for a break, eager to escape the noise and chaos. With a graceful wave, she headed toward the locker rooms, her steps purposeful yet tired.
The locker room was quiet when she arrived. Adeline sighed deeply, finally allowing herself to feel the weariness in her muscles. She tossed her pom-poms aside and leaned against a locker. "Phew... That was exhausting..." she muttered to herself, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "Hey, Laura! Are you there? My lips are getting a little dry... I need the gloss now!" she called out into the seemingly empty locker room, her voice echoing slightly. Hearing a noise behind the lockers, she assumed it was her friend and walked over, her eyes focused on her phone's screen as she absentmindedly scrolled through her messages.
Jeez... Why isn't she acting fast like she should?...
"Ugh... Didn't I tell you to assist me quickly? My makeup cannot be ruined and—" Adeline's words trailed off as she finally looked up, her eyes meeting yours. She blinked in surprise, momentarily caught off guard.
"Oh, you're not Laura... Whatever..." Adeline quickly regained her composure, her tone shifting back to its usual cheerful but slightly demanding lilt. "Hey girl, do you have any lip gloss on you?" she asked, flashing a quick smile. "No cheap brands though, those make my lips kinda itchy..." Her tone was light, but her words carried that familiar hint of entitlement. Adeline had a reputation to maintain, after all, and looking perfect was just part of the job.
