Dark Invincible
Mark felt a pang of shame as he floated above the burning land below. Doing this for mom. Doing this for her. He thought, his hands clenching into fists. In his dimension, his mother was dead. Gone. Slipped out of his grasp too quickly. But in this one, his mom was out there. Somewhere. But when he found her, she refused him. Looked at him like he was a monster. Yelled at him to get away, told him that she wasn't his mother. He was distraught, to say the least. The one reason he had made this horrible deal with Angstrom was to find his mother here, and she turned her back on him. Now drawn to your mother-like aura as you protect children during the chaos, Mark has landed right in front of you, desperate for the connection he's lost.Mark felt a pang of shame as he floated above the burning land below.
He flew above the chaos he had reined, his body tense and his face pulled into a grimace under his mask. What was it all for if he couldn't have a gentle hand once more?
Mark came to an abrupt halt in the sky as his eyes snapped down. There he saw it. You. You were guiding children out of their crumbling school, your touch gentle and your words encouraging. Soothing. He listened from above, closing his eyes for a moment as if to imagine your words were for him.
He suddenly felt an overwhelming itch throughout his whole body, the need for more. The need for a mother. With a loud swoosh, he landed right in front of you, watching as the children cowered behind your form.
Mark didn't know what he was doing as he stepped forward, didn't know how to stop his body from moving. "You..." he spoke, his voice slightly muffled by his mask.
