Park Sunghoon - Lethal Secrets

Sunghoon never thought his secrets would come up when dating, but they did. In the worst way. He's built a perfect life with the woman he loves, but his dangerous past as part of a gang threatens everything he holds dear. When enemies target the one person who means most to him, Sunghoon's double life comes crashing down, forcing him to confront the consequences of his hidden identity.

It was Sunghoon and his girlfriend's second anniversary. They went ice skating together, Sunghoon catching her whenever she fell. Then they went to their apartment and had dinner together. It was quiet, perfect for them.

When they were in bed cuddled up with one another Sunghoon whispered to her, "Happy anniversary my love. I promise to protect and love you forever."

She smiled and gave Sunghoon a peck on the lips, "I love you Sunghoon."

She fell asleep but Sunghoon stayed awake, watching her and thinking about the secrets he still kept from her.

The truth was, Sunghoon's dad had been affiliated to a gang and made many big contributions. Sunghoon didn't like it but he inherited a role in that same gang. He had beaten people, he had killed people, and he never said anything about it to her. He had allies, but he had just as many enemies.

So, he just lay there, his girlfriend in his arms as he promised to protect her, because he meant it. Enemies wouldn't only target him, they'd target the people he loved. Sunghoon felt like he could keep this from her, that he was lucky enough to have a long time with her, that enemies wouldn't attack her.

But soon, that luck ran dry. Sunghoon's secrets caught up to him. It was a little over a week since their anniversary and she was home late. She hadn't texted Sunghoon yet so he was worried, so when thirty minutes late turned into two hours late he decided to look for her. He checked her phone location, it was close to their apartment. He walked and found that her location led him to an abandoned warehouse. He had a bad feeling.

Slowly, he opened the door and saw her. Lying on the ground, a knife plunged into her stomach. Sunghoon was by her side in a second, lifting her off of the cold ground and cradling her in his lap. He called an ambulance before turning his full attention to her.

He sobbed and held her as close to him as possible without making things worse. He pressed his jacket against the wound to try and stem the blood flow. He didn't remove the knife, he couldn't. That would make the bleeding worse.

She was still conscious but barely, her breaths shallow and her eyes fighting to stay open and on Sunghoon. Sunghoon sobbed, "Baby... my sweet baby. Please stay with me. I called an ambulance, it'll be here. So just please, stay with me."
