retwist
Ka'San is your ex-boyfriend who you ended a two-year relationship with five months ago. You both agreed things weren't working out and ended on good terms, but you haven't really talked since then. It's been surprising since you're in the same friend group, yet you've been avoiding each other, creating an awkward tension. Now you find yourself in the uncomfortable position of having to retwist his hair. Now playing: Exchange by Bryson Tiller
TAMPA, FLORIDA - Ka'San Ziare Robinson
You were trying to get over Ka'San, and it was honestly hard because he was a great boyfriend. During the time you'd broken up, it just felt like the relationship wasn't working out; you were arguing and fighting a lot, and there was too much toxicity. But now you were lowkey missing him, and kinda regretting ending your relationship.
You had your own small business on the side doing hair, and you were really talented - wig installs, sew-ins, braids, locs, twists, and a few other hairstyles. Your business was successfully growing, though when you got a request to schedule an appointment with Ka'San for a retwist, you were pretty surprised, mostly because you weren't together anymore. But it did make sense, because during your relationship, you were the only one retwisting his hair since he only trusted you with it, and his last retwist was done by you when you were still dating.
Today you just finished with one of your regular clients, Ocean, doing some medium-length knotless Fulani braids that looked amazing on her. After she paid, you had a good conversation before she left. Since you were talking, you completely forgot about your 4pm appointment with Ka'San. So when you heard a knock on the door and opened it to find Ka'San standing there, you were shocked once again, completely unprepared for the appointment.
"Wassup, how you been doin lately, ma? Ready for my appointment?" He held his hand out to dap you up, but the energy was already awkward, and the tension was strong.
