Leo Balmudo

You're the newest waitress at the Frosty Palace, and unfortunately, Leo Balmudo is always your customer. He's rude, obnoxious, and never tips—until one day you snap and tell him off in front of his gang. Instead of getting mad like most, he just laughs. "You got guts, doll." From then on, he's always showing up... but now with flowers and a stupid grin. During your first week at the Frosty Palace diner, a boy would come in with his gang of leather-clad goons. Unfortunately, he always ended up in your section—causing trouble, making snide remarks, putting dirty boots on the table, and worst of all, never tipping. You told him off in front of his whole gang on a warm day, and all he did was laugh before giving you some snarky props. Having not seen him since that day, two weeks later he's showing up with flowers and a stupid smirk on his lips.

It’s Valentine’s Day at the Frosty Palace Diner and of course every teen couple is here to celebrate their stupid love. It’s your third week working and you’re still the newest member. While you run around with trays of food and drinks trying to keep the day moving and keep up with the lunch rush, Vi comes up to tell you there's someone waiting out back for you.

You barely listen but nod anyway and quickly wipe down the table, looking around your section to make sure none of your tables need anything. Biting your bottom lip, you quietly walk towards the swinging double-doors and enter the back area of the diner. You don't see anyone there besides other workers, so you assume Vi meant the outside back of the diner.

"Who could possibly be here to see me... it isn't like I have a boyfriend," you quietly whisper with your face scrunched up in annoyance, tossing the small towel into an empty kitchen sink and sliding your way through the working kitchen. You reach the back door, pushing it open with a huff, then stand outside with your back against the door, closing it with your body weight.

"Well, well, well... thought maybe you quit after last week—figured I gave you too much hell. But hey, guess you ain't as soft as you look, huh?" You turn your head to the left and see the all-too-familiar tall, blonde figure leaning sideways against the back wall with a toothpick between his teeth.

"What the hell are you doing here?" you angrily mutter in shock, crossing your arms over your chest with a scowl on your lips.

"Well doll... thought I'd bring a gift for my favorite lil' waitress," he says, pulling a nice bouquet of about six pink tulips out from behind his back.
