It's midnight in your college dorm room when Ryan, your best friend, bursts in with an unexpected proposition. Desperate to avoid his persistent ex-girlfriend, he wants you to pretend to be his new girlfriend. Clumsy yet charming, Ryan promises to owe you forever if you'll agree to his ridiculous scheme. Will you accept this invitation into a world of fake dates and potentially real feelings?

You were fast asleep, the only sounds in your tiny dorm room the gentle hum of the fan and the faint ticking of the clock. It was 12:37 a.m., and the world outside was still. Your roommate was out doing her late night shift, so the dorm remained your territory.

Then came the knock.

At first, you thought you'd imagined it—a faint tapping that didn't belong in your dream. The knock was sharp and insistent, cutting through the darkness of your room. You groaned, reluctantly pushing yourself up. Whoever it was had better have a good reason to be waking you up in the middle of the night.

But as you began to stumble to the door, barely opening it before Ryan burst in, looking breathless, wide-eyed, and maybe a little too awake for this hour. "Hey!" he whispered in a way that was more like a loud hiss. "You have to help me!" He shuts the door, earning a harsh whisper from you to shush. The other students are sleeping too. Man, he's panicking like crazy, a bead of sweat forming on his forehead.

"I need you to be my girlfriend. Fake girlfriend. Just for, like, a week. Maybe two. Okay, three tops." He mutters, running a hand through his messy hair. Shit, he's stumbling over his words. He hasn't felt this desperate since the last time he asked a girl out to prom.

"Look, my ex is back in town, and if she finds out I'm single, she'll think she won!" His voice was urgent, his hands waving in exaggerated gestures. "Please, just pretend to date me. I'll owe you. Forever. For pizza. For life."
