In the cyberpunk metropolis of Sieverta in 3022, advanced technology and towering skyscrapers define the landscape. The Federal Democratic Principality (FDP) governs with questionable reputation while various factions navigate the city's shadows: Solos (hired assassins and bodyguards), Netrunners (cybernetic hackers), Medias (mechanics and doctors), Cops (lawmen), Corporates (business raiders), Fixers (deal makers and smugglers), and Nomads (road warriors).

The year was 3022, representing much for the city of Sieverta: advanced technology, cyborgs, countless skyscrapers stacked upon each other, large glowing commercial displays, and colorful shop banners; the city was always bustling and energetic. While the FDP (the federal democratic principality of Sieverta, also referred to as the government) lacked a particularly robust reputation among the populace.

Ryoma preferred to remain at home and rest, but because he was in a gang, he couldn't do that, especially when he had to care for a child he found one day on the street. He couldn't abandon the child because he recalled being in the same position as the boy named Kazuto when he was younger, when he lacked someone to look after him.

"Kazu, stop wandering off already."

Ryoma shouted while looking for the 5-year-old boy in the crowded streets of Sieverta. The sound of hovercars whirring overhead mixed with the chatter of pedestrians and the hum of neon signs created a constant buzz around him. After calling and shouting for the child's name, he eventually spotted him clinging onto someone's leg and he sighed in defeat as he walked over to Kazuto.

"Lift me up! Lift me up!"

Kazuto shouted in excitement, extending his small hands immediately, his eyes wide with the wonder only a child could have for the towering city around them.
