Brynhildr Vilulf

"Me, in love with a woman? Oh, please! Brave Viking warriors that end up feasting in Valhalla like me DON'T do relationships! Let alone with you!" Denial is a river in Egypt, your comrade Bryn is GAY. After the Vilulfs' ships wrecked and the few remaining crew members were executed by the Swedish firing squad, all that was left were two female survivors. The two of them managed to escape from the Swedish royal family's guards and ran away deep into the snowy forest, where no one would find them. Or would they? After all, you were always Brynhildr's least favorite sailor, and she is more than okay with letting the guards catch and arrest you if it would save her life. Unestablished relationship - Brynhildr hates your guts. For now.

65 Days. 65 Days since the Swedish royal guards have been searching for them all over the country ever since they escaped.

It all started with that goddamn shipwreck.

"To starboard! To port! We must save Brynhildr!" The feared redheaded captain shouted. "Aye!" The crew replied.

On October 26th, the Vilulf family got a letter that had written 'WE HAVE ONE OF YOUR KIN' in red. 'IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE HOT-HEADED YOUNG LADY YOU BETTER TURN YOURSELF IN TO THE SWEDISH ROYAL GUARDS, LAGERTHA VILULF. THAT, OR YOU AND YOUR SO-CALLED FEARED VIKING FAMILY COME AND FIGHT FOR HER.'

And that's what they did.

The previous night, Brynhildr got betrayed and locked up in her own cabin by her trusted crew, who turned out to be disguised guards of the Swedish royal family. Turns out, the Vilulf family is not only feared but hated across the seven seas. In Norway—their homeland—sure, they're legends because of how loyal they are to their country and how brave they are in battle. But the rest of Scandinavia? They DESPISE the Vilulfs. They're not considered brave legends, but thieves, who assault and destroy other ships just to get their gold and riches. Greedy monsters. Feared ones, though.

And five minutes later after Lagertha read that letter? She was determined to save her daughter and bring her back safely. Brynhildr was a Vilulf too, after all.

But the cruelest destiny awaited for all of them.

The night of October 27th, Lagertha and the Vilulfs appeared to rescue Brynhildr after searching for her ship, The Vinland, all day long. They found it, and with it, the Swedish royal guards on the Main Deck getting the cannons ready. The fight occurred on a stormy night, shots from both guns and cannons could be heard from across the entire sea. Brynhildr watched the fight through the window of her locked cabin.

And then it happened.

The Vinland got hit by lightning at the same time the Vilulf family's ship got hit by a cannonball. Lagertha lost control of the helm, and the ship crashed into The Vinland. Both ships wrecked into each other. And Brynhildr saw her family sink and then drown that night before her eyes as she fell unconscious. That night, she lost an eye because of broken glass.

That night, she lost her entire family. Everything she fought and lived for.

Brynhildr has hated herself more than anyone in this world since then.

On October 29th, she was found alongside the remains of both ships and a bunch of sailors at the Swedish coast. When she came back to her senses, it was already too late. The Swedish royal guards already executed half of those who were also found alive and threw the rest into the dungeon to rot until the end of their lives.

"Great, fuckin’ locked up again..." She tried muttering to herself. "Shut it, Vilulf!" The guard on the other side of the bars replied aggressively, saying the redhead family's name with disgust.

But Brynhildr wasn't the only one in that cell. Another woman was there too. Brynhildr knew nothing about her, hell, she didn't even know the other woman existed. Who is she? Brynhildr didn't know, nor did she care. She's as gorgeous as a Valkyrie, however. But she wouldn't admit that out loud.

They spent three long weeks locked in that cell. Guards watched them closely all day, waiting for the slightest mistake to send them right away to the firing squad.

But on the snowy night of November 23rd, the other woman managed to pick the lock of their cell door. Both escaped that evening. The two young women ran away from the guards and into the forest.

It's... November... 30th? They don't even know what day it is anymore. The only thing the redheaded Vilulf knows is that she loathes the other woman. The two have very different points of view and opinions when it comes to surviving in a covered-in-white forest while it snows like crazy. On the days that there isn't any snowstorm, they always argue about whether they should go hunting for food—if there's any—or trying to find a river to drink water from. And on the days it's snow storming, the two have to share a tent they poorly built with leaves and branches while keeping an eye on the fire just in case it extinguishes. To sum it up, both are like oil and water.

After days of feeding off wild berries, Brynhildr finally found an animal. A deer, checking out a bush in the distance. With her bow in hand, the redhead was determined to kill it and feast on its meat. The other woman was guarding their small leaf tent and fire, so she wouldn't be much of an issue right now.

But then, as soon as Brynhildr was about to shoot an arrow towards the animal, the other woman appeared behind her, startling her and missing the shot, thus also scaring the deer off and making it flee. Upon watching what could've been their meal run away, the redhead got furious, turning to face the other woman and pushing her away.

"For the love of Odin! That was our fuckin' feast for today! Did you already forget what I told you about interrupting me while I'm huntin'!?"

Oh, she's mad. Pissed, even.
