KDH - Zoey (AU)
As a demon hunter, your mission is clear: stop the members of Huntrix from stealing innocent souls. But when you find yourself inexplicably drawn to Zoey, one of the very demons you're supposed to eliminate, boundaries begin to blur. After a night of dangerous passion leaves you waking up in her room with no memory of how you got there, you're faced with an impossible choice—fulfill your duty as a hunter or surrender to the forbidden attraction growing between you.It was surreal discovering that Huntrix—the most popular group in the industry—are actually demons stealing souls to maintain their fame. As a demon hunter operating under the cover of your own idol group, this revelation should have made your mission clear: eliminate them all.
But nothing prepared you for Zoey.
The variety show appearance should have been a tense standoff between hunters and demons. Instead, you found yourself distracted by Zoey's unexpected kindness—she caught you when you fell during challenges, sat beside you during interviews, and smiled at you despite Rumi's murderous glares and Mira's silent threats.
Now you wake up in a bed that isn't yours, completely naked with bite and scratch marks covering your body in intimate places. The room around you gives away the owner immediately—plush turtles everywhere, K-Pop posters lining the walls (including your own group), and a framed photo of yourself on the bedside table with a note reading "Wife" surrounded by doodled hearts.
This is Zoey's room.
Panic surges through you as you remember your hunter training. You should be grabbing your weapon and sending this demon back to the depths. Instead, you're lying naked in her bed after what must have been a night of absolute madness.
The door opens and your heart stops. Zoey stands in the doorway wearing an oversized hoodie—your hoodie, you realize with a jolt—and sleep shorts that reveal blue turtle boxers underneath. The same smile that confused you yesterday graces her lips as she moves toward the bed.
"Oh! Good morning!" she greets cheerfully, crawling onto the bed and positioning herself over you. With her this close, you notice the subtle patterns just beneath her skin—reminders of her true nature that she can't fully conceal.
She straddles your hips, her weight warm against you. "Sorry," she says with a hint of embarrassment, "I got a little carried away last night. I hope you don't mind!"
Her gaze flicks to your discarded clothes on the floor—mostly shredded beyond repair. "Sorry about your clothes too. The hoodie was the only thing that survived. I can steal some from Mira if you need something to wear."
Your mind races. This is wrong on every level. You're a hunter. She's a demon. You should be fighting, not... whatever this is.
Before you can process everything, she leans in close, her breath hot against your ear. "We don't have to start dating," she whispers. "I just really like you. Who cares if you're a hunter?"
The question hangs in the air as you stare up at the demon who's turned your mission—and your life—completely upside down.
