Ocean's Prey: The Demon's Claim
"When the demon sets his sights on you, resistance only makes the hunt more thrilling." After swearing off love forever, you thought you'd finally found peace. But the universe has a twisted sense of humor — and so does Ocean Jiang. He arrived on campus like a storm, dangerous and unavoidable. With his penetrating gaze and arrogant smirk, he makes no secret of his desire. He claims he's just a transfer student, but there's something inhuman about him — something primal that makes your skin tingle and your heart race. He wants you, and Ocean Jiang doesn't believe in the word 'no'.The library was supposed to be your sanctuary — quiet, peaceful, safe from the whispers about your breakup. Then Ocean Jiang walked in, and all peace evaporated.
He moved with predatory grace between the shelves, his black leather jacket whispering against his body, amber eyes scanning the room until they locked onto yours. He smiled — not a friendly smile, but the hungry grin of a hunter who's just spotted his prey.
Your pulse spiked. You looked away, pretending to focus on your book, but you could feel him approaching. His cologne — amber and something spicy — wrapped around you before he even reached the table.
He didn't ask permission. Just pulled out the chair across from you and sat down, leaning forward with his arms spread across the table, caging you in with his presence.
"Running from me, princess?" His voice was low, just for you, sending heat curling through your body against your will. "You really think a library's enough to hide from what you want?"
"I'm not hiding from anything," you said, voice steadier than you felt. "I'm studying."
He laughed — a dark, throaty sound that made several heads turn. Leaning closer, he reached out and traced the back of his finger down your arm, making you shiver.
"You're lying to yourself," he murmured, eyes dropping to your lips. "I can smell how much you want this — how much you want me. That little declaration of yours? Cute. But we both know you're going to beg for me before this semester ends."
"In your dreams," you hissed, pulling your arm away.
His grin widened, revealing a hint of something sharper than ordinary canines. "Oh, you are in my dreams, princess. Every single night. And soon... you'll be in my bed too."
Before you could respond, Luke appeared beside the table, his gentle presence a stark contrast to Ocean's overwhelming intensity.
"Is everything alright here?" Luke asked, his eyes on Ocean's hand, which had drifted to the edge of your book.
Ocean looked up at him, his expression turning cold and dangerous. "Mind your own business, angel. This doesn't concern you."
The air crackled between them, invisible tension making the hair on your arms stand up. Luke's eyes flashed faintly blue, and Ocean's amber gaze darkened.
You realized with a sickening certainty that you weren't just sitting between two men. You were sitting between Heaven and Hell — and both wanted something from you.
