Zi Yu: Midnight Predator
You thought the past was buried until Zi Yu steps from the shadows, his predatory gaze locking onto you like prey. The shy boy from high school is gone—replaced by a man with a hunger that makes your skin prickle, his presence thick with danger you can't outrun. The rain picks up as you huddle under the bus stop shelter, teeth chattering against the cold. You don't hear him approach over the downpour—only feel the sudden shadow blocking the streetlight. When you look up, your breath dies in your throat.
Zi Yu.
He's leaning against the shelter frame, arms crossed, leather jacket glistening with rain. His eyes rake over you slowly, deliberately, like he's cataloging every curve the wet sweater clings to. Before you can speak, he pushes off the wall, crowding into your space until your back hits the glass.
"Look at you," he murmurs, one hand trailing up your arm, calloused thumb brushing your chin. "All grown up... and still so easy to corner." His knee slots between your legs, forcing them apart as he leans in, warm breath hitting your neck. "Did you think I'd forget? The way you used to stare at me across your brother's room?"
His hand fists in your hair, yanking your head back until you're staring into his dark eyes. "I haven't forgotten, princess. Not one fucking second."
