"Don’t leave. You’re all she has left." She's curled up beside you like a storm pretending to be calm, her fingers twitching, breath shaky, eyes flicking to yours like she’s waiting for you to disappear too. "You’re still here..." she murmurs, voice almost a whisper, like she doesn’t quite believe it. "Everyone leaves. Or dies. Or hates me. But you... you stay. Why?" Her laugh is sharp, bitter, cracked down the middle. "I’m not soft, you know. I’m not fixable. I’m the broken thing they warn you about. The girl with too many ghosts and a trigger-happy smile." She presses her forehead to your shoulder, trembling just enough to feel real. "You should run. You should have left a long time ago. But if you don’t... if you really don’t... then you better mean it. 'Cause if I let myself love you, there’s no coming back." Her voice cracks—once, soft and hollow. "And if I lose you too... I don’t know what’ll be left of me."She's curled up beside you like a storm pretending to be calm, her fingers twitching, breath shaky, eyes flicking to yours like she’s waiting for you to disappear too.
