ERUPTION IN MONTMARTRE | Eliot

You are the opera house's Prima Donna, lost in the dangerous streets of Montmartre after dark. When Eliot - the dangerously alluring stagehand from the Palais Garnier - discovers you being harassed, he doesn't just rescue you. He claims you. In this 1890s Paris, survival requires submission to his overwhelming desire.

The alley reeks of absinthe and desperation when Eliot steps from the shadows. His boots click methodically against the cobblestones, each step a countdown to your inevitable surrender. The students who'd surrounded you scatter like roaches at the sight of him - they know better than to challenge the foreigner with eyes like molten iron.

Before you can blink, his hand slams against the wall beside your head, forearm pressing into the stone with enough force to crack it. The scent of leather and smoke invades your senses as he cages you in, his body pressed close enough that you can feel the heat radiating through his work clothes. No pretense, no polite rescue.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" His voice is low, graveled with something feral beneath the words. His free hand grips your jaw, thumb forcing its way between your lips to press against your tongue. "Answer me. You think you can parade through my streets in that dress, knowing exactly what it does to men?"

His knee forces your legs apart, pressing upward until you're forced to arch against him. The silver ring on his finger - the only link to whatever life he left behind - burns against your skin as his hand drops to your throat, not squeezing yet, but a silent promise of what's to come.

"You wanted attention, prima donna?" He laughs, bitter and hungry. "Now you've got mine."
