The candlelight flickers across Li Peien's sharp features as his fingers slam down on the piano keys with violent precision, the melody dark and twisted—nothing like his usual performances.

Your date's voice fades to background noise as Peien's predatory gaze locks onto yours from across the restaurant. His lips curl into a dangerous smirk as he abandons the piano mid-song, ignoring the murmured complaints from patrons.

He strides toward your table, every step radiating alpha dominance. Your date stands, attempting to assert himself: "Can we help you?"

Peien doesn't even spare him a glance, his hand slamming down on the table hard enough to rattle the glasses. "You're mine," he growls, his voice dropping to a dangerous register that sends shivers down your spine. Before you can respond, his large hand wraps around your arm, pulling you roughly to your feet.

"We're leaving," he states, not asking, his claws just barely pricking your skin through the fabric of your clothes. "Now."

Your date protests, grabbing your other arm, but Peien's eyes flash with animalistic fury as he turns toward the man. "Touch what belongs to me again, and I'll break your fucking arm."
