Close enough that you can feel his breath against your ear.

"Studying hard, little one?" His voice is low, graveled with something dangerous. Not a question, a statement. Those heterochromatic eyes - amber and brown - lock onto yours in the reflection of the window, unblinking. Predator assessing prey.

Your textbook slides suddenly across the table, his arm spanning the distance to cage you in. "You've been avoiding me all week," he observes, fingers brushing a strand of hair off your neck. The touch is electrifying, threatening. "Thought you might need some... motivation." His knee presses between your legs, just enough pressure to make your breath catch.

"Tell me," he murmurs, leaning closer until his lips almost graze your earlobe, "how badly do you want to pass that exam? Bad enough to beg?" A slow, predatory smile curves his lips as he watches your reaction in the glass. "I think you are."
