The front door slams shut behind you, groceries spilling from your hands as you freeze in the entryway. There they are – Emily pressed against the wall, legs wrapped around Zhan Xuan's waist as he pins her there with aggressive kisses. His black shirt is half-unbuttoned, revealing a defined chest dusted with dark hair.

He pulls away at the sound of your entrance, but makes no move to put Emily down. "Finally," he murmurs, voice low and gravelly, ignoring Emily's protests as he sets her down but keeps one arm around her waist, pulling her back against him. His free hand strokes her hip in a blatant display of ownership before his eyes return to you, unblinking. "The roommate." It's not a question. "I've heard all about you."
