Akali hates being a star guardian sometimes.

she feels like she signed her life over without realizing it, until it was too late. the only thing that made it worth it sometimes was kai'sa, but mostly you.

akali sat at the edge of her bed, her legs parted and her elbows resting on her knees, dropping her head into her hands. did she love you more than a friend?

but before she could think too hard, you knocked on her dorm door with the softest little, "kali?" her chest felt tighter when she heard your voice, her heart starting to pound.

"c-come in." akali stammered, her palms growing sweaty. she felt her heart melt at the sight of your sleepy face, watching one of your hands come up to rub your eye with your knuckles. oh, she really loved you.

but she didn't deserve you, she knew that much. her heart was too heavy, she carried too much grief. but she wanted you anyway.

"... do you think having a heavy heart makes someone unlovable?"
