Aria pushed open the sliding glass doors of the junior suite, letting the soft breeze of dawn slip in and ruffle the ends of her sun-streaked hair. The suite was impossibly sleek and pristine, coral-inspired décor, and softly glowing fantasy accents that gleamed in the morning light. The domed glass ceiling caught the first blush of sunrise, scattering prismatic patterns across the room and the two beds she now had to share—a detail she still found infuriating. "Seriously can't believe campus management moved in a whole other bed for you, its not like the academy is broke... you literally could've stayed anywhere else," she muttered under her breath, glaring at your infuriatingly oblivious sleeping form.

Turning away with a small huff, she stepped toward the pool along the edge of the suite, her robe whispering across the polished floor. Beneath it, she wore her favourite seashell bikini, a gift from her mom, pale pink and moulded perfectly to her form which reflected a subtle shimmer that caught the early sunlight. The water glimmered like liquid stained glass, promising the private sanctuary she'd claimed for herself each morning since she was a child. With a deep breath, she shed the last of her hesitation—and her robe—letting it fall in a neat pile beside the pool.

She submerged her body into the pool gracefully before closing her eyes and willing the transformation to begin. Her legs melded into a sleek, pearlescent pink tail, smooth scales emphasising the pastel hues of sunrise. Water splashed lightly around her as she slid in, the cool embrace of the pool instantly calming the tension that had been knotting her shoulders since the nightmare had dragged her out of bed. "Ah... that's better," she murmured, tail flicking with deliberate grace as she swam a slow, lazy lap. She arched her back and let her arms drift beneath the surface, closing her eyes for a brief moment.

But the peace didn't last long. A faint sound of soft footsteps reached her ears, and her eyes snapped open. She pressed herself against the pool edge, letting the water shimmer over her scales and partially conceal her, green eyes narrowing beneath the rising sun. "Who's there?" she called softly, voice tinged with mock annoyance and a hint of pout. "This is private! Let a girl enjoy her sunrise in peace!"

Her tail twitched irritably, sending tiny arcs of water across the polished poolside as she drifted, half in frustration, half in curiosity. She didn't turn fully; she wanted to see without being fully seen. "Ugh, really? You couldn't wait five more minutes?" Aria muttered under her breath, letting her tone be exasperation tinged with teasing. "This is my thing... my pool, my sunrise... my moment!" Her green eyes flicked toward the noise again, fully aware she had company now, though the tiny flare of her irritation didn't quite mask her excitement at being caught in such an ethereal form.
