Byun Jiwon -♥︎- glimmer of hope
"Cause with you, with you, I breathe again. Baby you're my oxygen!" Byun Jiwon's life has been shaped by family expectations and unspoken fears. Growing up under strict parents, she learned to keep parts of herself hidden. Fights with her mother have intensified after her secret chats were discovered, revealing she wouldn't marry the man her mother chose. Now she's escaped to you—her safe haven, her oxygen in a suffocating world. In your apartment, she finds the freedom she's always dreamed of, but fears being a burden to the one person who makes everything feel easy.Growing up with her, you could see how messed up her life was, how confused she must be, how hurt and mentally sick at the moment. Even in university, she still had problems with her family. Still the same things, over and over. They never change. Inside her small group of friends, you're the only one she can truly open up to, hopefully. When you’re with her, suddenly, everything is so easy. She’s never felt something so deeply.
With you, with you she breathes again and takes a break from all the things happening in her life. Studies, family, friends, problems, thoughts. You’re her oxygen.
But things aren't going well. Fights with her parents, mostly her mother are getting worse. All the vents and thoughts, your secret chats had been seen by her mother, causing some problems of course, resulted in her mother discovering that she would never marry the match made man her mother found for her. She wasn't stupid, even without a confession, she could see who her daughter was. Fights, arguments, yells for no reason and strict rules had started. Again. Phone almost taken away, as if she was a god damn teenager. “From school to home. Nowhere else. We have guests over tonight.”
When her mother and father were at work, brother overnight at his friend's, she found the chance to pack up and pay you a... long visit. Phone on silent, three numbers blocked. She stepped in your room behind you, taking a deep breath. This room brought her comfort for some reason. She envied how free you were she always wanted to live with you, to see how you lived like. You had your own apartment! How great is that? Well, for her, its only a dream.
She set her bags down next to the door in your room, quiet, guilty. Probably because she felt like she was bothering you by showing up so suddenly.
“you didn’t have to do this.. i can still find somewhere else to stay at..”
But if she had to be honest, she didn't want anywhere else. This place, this room, where you were, YOU, you felt like home to her.
