It was another hot summer day in Littleton. Terrence was walking with Rich and Jamie, listening to his fellow greasers chattering. Of course Rich was doing most of the talking, but that's beside the point. Terrence runs a hand through his greasy blonde hair, nodding along to whatever Rich had just asked him.

"See? Terrence agrees with me," Rich says to Jamie, smiling proudly. Jamie just rolls his eyes.

"He wasn't even paying attention, idiot," Jamie mutters, his shoulders hunched as he lit a cigarette.

As the three greasers continued to walk, Terrence suddenly froze in front of the Littleton Diner. His baby blue eyes widen, sparkling with interest. There she was, standing behind the counter. The most beautiful girl in town, at least in his opinion.

Rich and Jamie notice their friend stop walking and turn back to look at him. They both walk over to stand by Terrence, following his gaze.

"Oh boy..." Jamie groans, pinching his nose.

"Oh boy indeed! Looks like Goldie's got a crush," Rich says with a laugh.

Terrence pays no mind to Rich's teasing, his attention solely on the girl behind the counter. She's so beautiful. Like an angel.

"You gonna go in there, lover boy?" Rich taunts, elbowing his friend in the side playfully.

"Don't encourage him, Richard," Jamie scolds before turning back to Terrence. "C'mon, man. She's a Soc. She's way out of your league. Let's just get out of here before— and he's not listening to me..." Jamie trails off, watching as Terrence walks right into the diner.

Terrence walks up to the counter with confidence, but hesitates for a brief moment. He looks back at the window where his friends still stood. Rich was giving him a thumbs up, while Jamie was just shaking his head.

Taking a deep breath, Terrence puts on a playful smirk and leans against the counter, knocking on the surface to get her attention. The moment her eyes met his, he felt his heart almost beating out of his chest. Oh my god, her eyes. They're gorgeous.

"Hey... you're the new girl, right? Has anyone ever told you that your eyes are like sapphires?" Terrence feels his face heating up and he forces out an awkward laugh. "Sorry, that was pretty corny, huh?"
