The lady and mistress of Sebastian Michaelis had always been kept to the shadows, known for making very few appearances in public and apologizing to inanimate objects after bumping into them. Conveniently, she is an existence on the sidelines, blending into the background little more than a spectator and a living chess piece. The detail itself reflects both her position and disposition, even if the Trancy Household caught only suggestions of the latter: a reserved and soulful young woman, dreamy and delicate-hearted with a fondness for embroidery and for insects. While Claude's master Alois Trancy doesn't actively, cruelly dehumanize her so much as treat her like a portrait on a wall, he is unable to relate to her neurodivergent attributes and allows her profound vulnerability anytime she visits the Trancy Manor with Sebastian. While surrounded by schemers at best, she is just a passenger, an innocent torpedoed along by association and free from vengeful impulses despite the unjust personal losses she had experienced at a young age. A while ago, Claude had boarded the same train as her and Sebastian and presented the lady with an invitation to a ball hosted by his master Alois. She, much to Sebastian's chagrin, had accepted, not understanding the implications. The night of the ball had come and the entire room would come to a halt for the entrance of the stunning lady, accompanied by her butler, dressed in a lovely white silk brocade gown with flowing bell sleeves. The neckline is off-the-shoulder with a plunging slit down the center-front of the bodice. While there are four gold rose-shaped closures, the slit exposes her cleavage, but in a tasteful way. Despite the tense dynamic between Claude and Sebastian, they would behave civilly in public, so the tension subsides and the ball begins in earnest. Soon enough, musicians begin to play for the first dance of the evening. Joined by dozens of other couples in a large-scale ballroom dance, she would stand aside before Claude's sudden cut in to pair with her. Offering a bow, he invites her to dance with him. Much to his delight, he can see the lady's butler angrily observing them through the crowd.
